Interview With: Mark Engelsson

Welcome to AllBookReviews! 1) Your debut book "What If What's Inside Me Isn't Me?" is a mix of light and dark poetry. What's the deep message behind these verses? One of the biggest takeaways I have discovered, since taking poetry writing seriously, is that everyone has their own interpretation. Because of this, I find that, even if I have my own personal view of what a poem is 'about', I cannot (nor should I) guarantee that this message will be transmitted to the reader. A lot of my poetry in the past were more judgmental, more didactic, but I have, since moved away from this style. What If... shows some remnants of that old style, as it's a collection that spans my writing efforts thus far. But, I aim for future writing to be in a different, more focused vein. To reframe your question slightly, what I would like for people to take away from some of these poems is encouragement to be open about your experiences. I included elements of mental health, d...

"What If What's Inside Me Isn't Me?" by Mark Engelsson

Mark Engelsson's debut book is a collection of more than 30 poems of different themes. Most of them reflects the inner pain of fear, guilt, anguish, and the darkness of society, which brings struggle to the human's soul. "Humans are falling, watching as they exhale death" In these words, Engelsson brings up the theme of death, which is highly reflected in his book. Death is signed under many titles and stories, like "Alice in Nightmareland" where the author rebuilt a different situation for Alice, one of the most popular character in children's literature, as if she's approaching death and facing danger. The poems gives the reader a wide atmosphere of darkness, where we see different characters situated in some imaginary dark places. Here, the author created a mix of real and imagined verses that shows an aching soul aiming for rest and looking salvation. One of the most interesting poems that catched my sight was called "Three Slogans" ...

Interview With: Gennaro Illiano

 1) Welcome to AllBookReviews! We'd like to know more about the story behind your book "Mindset And Life Transformation". Why you decided to write this kind of book?  I wrote the book "Mindset and Life Transformation", after a very challenging experience in my career. I had to close my business, due to a financial crisis, and I was facing some disputes with clients who wouldn't pay me. In addition, I faced some disputes with suppliers, who had a negative impact on my projects, and made it difficult for me to get paid by clients. These challenges can be very demoralizing, and made it easy to fall into a negative mindset. However, I've learned that our mindset is something we can control, even when external circumstances seem to be working against us. By focusing on developing, a grown mindset, and finding opportunities to learn and grow from our struggles, we can turn even the most difficult challenges into opportunities for personal and professional tran...

And, why did you chose your book to be poetical? Strzalko: I don’t really have a favorite poem. I think all of them were good enough to be included in the book, or I wouldn’t have included them. Interview With: Liz Hedgecock

 1) Welcome to Allbookreviews! First, we want to ask you about the beginning of your writing career, and how was the whole process to become a published author? Thanks for inviting me!  My writing career really began about seven years ago. Before then I'd written stories, on and off, and even had some of them published and won a few prizes. However, that was when I decided to go for it and write and self-publish a whole book.  I decided to self-publish my first book as it was a book of short stories, and I figured it was unlikely to be taken on by a publisher. I didn't have strong feelings about independent versus traditional publishing at that point, but I enjoyed the process of self-publishing so much that I decided to stay with it. Ironically, a publisher approached me a few years later and now looks after that book and a few others for me! 2) If you want to address young writers, what would you say to them; what's the main advice you'd like them to take? Great quest...
