In the 4th book of "The Adventures of Jimmy Crickey" series, Wallace E. Briggs continues the story of the young alien with a brand new adventure at "Roombelow".
Jimmy Crickey, who moves from his home planet "Attalia" to the Earth, takes out a challenging quest, in order to save the Emerald Lake, along with the four witches, Lord Oron, and other guardians of the Earth.
In the green lake, where the Aquamites and their leader live, there exists a dangerous enemy: water serpents coming from the bottom of the lake, threatening the Aquamites and their home.
So, Jimmy and the rest of the group begin searching for some spell to kill these strange creatures, and protect the Aquamites from any danger. They take a very hard quest, and run into many challenges.
The hero of the story is Jimmy, a young alien who helps others, and finds the right way to save his friends from any threat that could come across them. He's a good representation for all the children who will read the story, and find some good values to imitate.
Children's books are sometimes hard to write; especially to write something that would satisfy the child's imagination and thinking. And, in this book, the story was well constructed in representation and in its true meaning.
"The Adventures of Jimmy Crickey: The Emerald Lake" is a great book, that mixes fantasy with science fiction. Also, it brings up several astonishing elements, which give the reader a delightful adventure story.
In his book, Wallace Briggs has created a fantastic storyline for children, with a very simple language, and exciting storytelling.
Overall, the book is a real enjoyment for all adventure lovers, and a call for any reader to explore the world of Jimmy Crickey: a world of magic, imagination, and bravery.
